Wondering what a sentiment meter is? How does it work? And how to make use of it? We will tell you what is hidden under the pleasing name! Let's find out how we use it in Happenee, how it can be beneficial, and why we implemented this feature on our platform.
So what is it?
A sentiment meter is functionality that collects and records data on how a certain group of people feel and then graphically visualizes this information.
How does it work?
Individuals give ongoing feedback very simply - thumbs up or down. This data are constantly recorded and transmitted to a graph, which is regularly updated. Thanks to this, we can see information about the audience's mood and define what was exciting and beneficial for them and vice versa - what we can improve next time.
How do we use it in Happenee?
We use this feature mainly during the live stream - this way, viewers can effortlessly give instant feedback while still concentrating on the lecturer without missing anything.
The main benefit...
A clear and well-arranged report is obtained in real-time. The sentiment meter is an excellent complementary tool for getting the most accurate feedback possible. Detailed feedback following the live stream is also fundamental, but participants may no longer remember the details. That's why we recommend a combination - detailed feedback compared with a sentiment meter graph generated during a live stream is a dealbreaker!
Who came up with it?
We introduced this feature thanks to one of our clients. The idea was to understand better the audience's emotions and have unforced feedback. So the functionality was developed for one specific event, and since it was pretty successful, we decided to permanently keep it on the platform.
