Over a year ago a virtual wedding trade fair sounded a bit bizarre. As we all know, the world has changed considerably this past year. If conferences migrated to being held virtually why not wedding fairs?
During the 22nd to the 24th of January 2021, Happenee organised it's first virtual trade fair for Svatba.cz. We aimed to create a virtual space for vendors, the general public and the industry in the wedding industry to meet remotely.

The Event
Happenee's platform helped couples that did not want to miss the latest trends for this year's wedding season. Exhibitors and vendors were able to show off their services and products remotely without the limitation of travel restrictions. Attendance was complemented by wedding planners who were able to remotely assist clients to adapt their dream wedding. This festival included a rich program which included moderator Martin Cihlář who conducted interviews across the wedding industry.
Svatba.cz is known for exploring was to add value and uniqueness to the world of wedding trade fairs as a wedding service aggregator. It was clear in light of recent events this year's event would need to be virtual. What was needed was an event otherworldly and captured the atmosphere of a beautiful wedding. Our custom lobby was a meadow of wildflowers in full bloom. Participants were stunned by the new medium that there was nearly no mention of the pandemic during the event.
Pre-Planning
The objective was to create a fun virtual event, have visuals that catch the eye and excite visitors and vendors to return. During the preplanning process, Svatba.cz was able to attract 50 exhibitors and roughly 1,000 visitors to the event.
During the Event
Following the planning stage of the event, exhibitors were debriefed on the program and how to navigate our intuitive platform. Participants of the event simply needed to connect without the hassle of downloading files. To give a feeling of attending an off-line event; we created a beautiful floral lobby. It was a welcome sight during the grey days of winter. In addition, we projected a leader board to help participants keep track of who is leading the interactive events.

VIP entries included personal counselling. Couples had individual access to privately arrange their big day. Guest traffic and statistics for exhibitors gave keen insights which are unmatched in off-line events.

Participants were also able to use discount codes found on leaflets at the event.

The Final Result
A closing survey revealed that 60% of partners already spoke out in favor of repeating the event online, even in the event of loosening restrictions. Companies around the world seem to agree; a hybrid model of event planning is becoming normal; meaning a virtual and off-line event complementing one another.
